Just as we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we have some very exciting news to announce, as of Tuesday afternoon we are officially the proud owners of The Cro Magnon Restaurant at Méribel Plateau
Over the past decade, we have seen La Terrasse go from strength to strength and thanks to our incredible team we have grown into an established year-round restaurant. For us, it felt like the right moment to take on a new challenge and we can’t wait to share our passion for good food and service beyond Méribel Village.
We strongly believe that Méribel has the potential to be a year-round town and we are delighted to be able to broaden the dining options for residents and visitors to our beautiful valley whatever the time of year. Our intention is to open for most, if not all of the year; creating more job opportunities and making Méribel a more viable option for people to live year-round.
Stepping up to head our new venture will be two of our most valued staff, restaurant manager Julie Meyer and head chef Sam Roberts. They will be sorely missed by all of the La Terrasse team and our customers alike but we are thrilled to give them this fantastic opportunity and support them as they grow into their new roles.
We would only take on a business that we really believed in and we could not be prouder to take over such a reputable Méribel institution as The Cro Magnon. Thanks to the years of hard work and passion from previous owners Delphine and Mathieu we are fortunate to inherit a restaurant where you can always expect a warm welcome with hearty signature dishes, sharing sides and decadent desserts
We will be carrying on this fine tradition to create the kind of place that feels like a home-from-home every night, only a home with a generously sized wine cellar (that we have been working hard behind the scenes to replenish!).
It won’t only be about the nights, we will also be open at lunch for lighter bites & daily menus and of course, it wouldn’t be us if we didn’t serve up some warming mugs of Vin chaud and homemade hot chocolate for apres
